In the active sync program Go to tools--option and under sync option tab check what you want to sync and uncheck the one's that you don't want to sync.

well the first thing you need to do is to contact your network operator and ask them to allow you to have access to GPRS and once its activated you can simply go on menu then its something like internet.it will dial a connection and once connected you can open mail.yahoo.com and you can check your email... lol... easy...

I think it would be a case of simply looking round the options of the "web mail" site to see it was possible to use (they usually give the information if it is).

Blackberry 8800 email setup?
I have a Blackberry 8800. It was previously owned by my friend who has his own email address put on there. I have no idea how to switch! Whenever I go through the email setup it says that there is already an email setup for the pin. I can't log into the AT%26amp;T site becuase I don't know the username and password that he used.

Im trying to get my pop ntlworld email account up on my mobile but im experience problems. My network im on is O2. Im not sure if the settings are correct for the email setup. At the moment the settings are:
Servers-
Email account type: POP3
Outgoing email server: smtp.ntlworld.com
Incoming email server: pop.ntlworld.com
Use SMTP authentication: No
SMTP username:
SMTP password:
I have my 'Interent Access' set as O2 Mobile Web. When I connect to the internet on the Nokia 9300i Communicator I use the 'O2 WAP GPRS'. But I reading that the setting for mail on the email setting is O2 Mobile Web because the O2 WAP GPRS setting is for people who have an email account with O2.
When I go to messaging and down to NTL Mail Account and click receive mail. It says
'Problem Connecting GPRS: Subscribe to GPRS first'
Does this mean that ive to contact O2 and ask them that I want GPRS setup on my phone? Or is my settings wrong?

Go to http://mail.yourwebsite.com (replace with your Mr Site address) and log in using mail@yourwebsite.com as your username and your Mr Site password. That will take you to the Mr Site e-mail page. I am trying to set up my email that I have from my hosted account. I am confused as to how to do this.
I have a POP3 and SMTP with my hosting company that I can use which would be mail.mydomain.com for both. Or I have my ISP POP3 and SMTP.
Do I use one or the other or half and half, one to send and the other to get. And how in the heck do I set it up, I am really confused because I keep getting logon errors.

POP3 is for receiving emails either through your ISP or hosting company, and SMTP sends emails. You probably could use your ISP's SMTP address to send email, but to make things easier. You probably want to stick with either your ISP's account or your Hosting Companies account. You could also setup two accounts. One for your ISP and for your hosting account. Depending on what Email Client you are using. Usually, your ISP has some good documentation how to setup OUTLOOK EXPRESS or OUTLOOK.
If you are having problems with authentication check with your ISP or Hosting Company and make sure you have username and password right. Sometimes you have to type in the whole email address as your username. (Most people miss that). I hope this helps. Good luck.

However some ISP's insist that all traffic go through their SMTP server, mostly in order to control spam. That may be causing you some problems and you can contact your ISP to verify this. Usually logon errors are the result of an incorrect configuration in your e-mail client(Outlook, or whatever you use). Double check all the settings, particularly regarding the server settings. Sometimes it is easier to just delete the account and start over. Good Luck

Email setup Oops?
I have an email which is setup with the name I want to use. with yahoo. But when I send emails to friends etc. they always say that my name comes up, not the actual email address that chose.
I did not want my full name on the email. That is why I set a email that suits me.
Can anyone help to resolve this matter. I don't want a lot out of life just to send emails with the chosen name not my full name.

This is supposing you are using ordinary Yahoo! Mail and not one of the myriad of new things that are around which are probably all different!

Go to the email address provider, and just make seperate names. Then go to aim (or whatever they use of IM) and then select make new screen name and make 2 seperate ones. The same way you made your stuff pretty much.

As far as a new email acct, when you go into email setup, log in, there is an option to remove your email accounts, as well as add a new one.

Can I setup Outlook to send email that is from my yahoo email address?
I would like to send/receive email from/to MS Outlook. Can an account be setup in Outlook that would use my Yahoo email address as the author of emails? When I change the "From:" to my Yahoo email address then Outlook uses "me@currentdomain.com On Behalf Of me@yahoo.com". I don't want this but rather want to see the Yahoo address only.

Some yahoo answers will tell you a freeway to get pop forwarding but all you get is errors,it wont work.

How do you setup your own email address?
There's 2 parts to an e-mail address - the part before the @ sign and the part after it.
If you sign up with an e-mail provider such as Yahoo or Hotmail the only part you get to chose is the part before the @ sign so for example, you could have mangelbaby at yahoo.com or mangelbaby at hotmail.com.
I've used the word 'at' in place of the @ sign - yopu should never post an e-mail address on the internet and especially not in a popular forum as it will be found by 'e-mail harvesters' and you'll get spammed forever more.
If you're wanting your own name after the @ sign then you have to register the domain name. So for example, you register mangelbaby.com then you can have whatever you want before the @ sign e.g. me at mangelbaby.com, fred at mangelbaby.com, 123 at mangelbaby.com.
Registering a domain name costs a few dollars a year. Once you've got the domain you need a webhosting package which will also cost, these are available at many different levels from a basic package costing a few dollars to very sophisticated packages costing thousands of dollars.
