I just got my new Curve today and am going to set up an email account. I do not have a business address, just my personal AOL emails. In the instruction book, it says that I should select "I want to create or add an email address" when I get to the Email Setup screen of the Setup Wizard. However, the only two options that appear on this screen are "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server" and "I want to skip email setup". How do I add my AOL address? Thanks!

Yahoo email setup on a Blackberry Pearl?
I have a Blackberry Pearl and T-Mobile service. I have added my Yahoo email account. I am able to send and receive emails from my Blackberry. Here is the senario, I receive an email on my Blackberry from my Yahoo account and read it on my Blackberry. However, when i log into my yahoo email account from a web browser and check my mail, it shows the mail as being "read" already. I would like to set it up for the email to remain "unread" Is this possible?

following the instruction here, going to "Options"-%26gt;"Mail Address"-%26gt;"Extra Mail Address" I click "get Started", and what I get is a blank page with nothing.

Unfortunately tWC is quite adimant about not allowing outgoing mail from off the Roadrunner network. So you cannot use the same settings as you would at home...
(for those following, that would be smtp.nyc.rr.com)
Also unfortunately, ATT will not allow anyone to use the CWMX.com server off the EDGE network.
What does this mean? You should use the cwmx.com server as much as possible, but it means that if you are off the edge network (on wifi) at that exact moment, your mail will not go out. Once you get off wifi (manually, or leave the range of the hotspot) your mail will send out.
Another way to do this would be to forward your email to google.com. Google's interface is free, connects just fine, and will hold EVERY email there until you delete it. well i love it. it can drag and drop. it is more sophisticated because of its brand new look. it works just like out looks express. because you dont have to open the email, just click and you can view. its way more faster, neater and updated version. the only thing bad about it is because you cant see your avatar with this version.

See I have a really old version of a blackberry. I have a blackberry 7290 (the thing is HUGE). I bought it off e-bay and I DONT have the software to set anything up. I have been using yahoo groups since way back when it was called egroups and I am also a yahoo group founder for a handful of different groups. Some of my groups are set to allow anyone to join with any email address instead of having to get a yahoo id. Because of this, my groups are getting lots of people joining with no intention but to spam. Is there any way that I can change this so that you can only join with your yahoo id? Also, will changing this help control spam? If not, what should I do?

While doing this you may have to reload some of the features in the various groups. It is time consuming but is the way to do it.
Since you are reentering fields, you can include a "report as spam" hot button that alerts you to potential problems. You can then block access or remove abusers.

Just tell them that you were pleased that they (the employer) are considering your for the position, and that you'd be happy to arrange an interview at their convenience. Be as brief as you can; all they are really after is a yes or a no.
Then provide your telephone number...if they email you back, saying "be here at 3 o'clock on Tuesday", then YOU call THEM to confirm the appointment. Plans have a way of being more "concrete" when they are discussed first-hand , rather than through correspondence.
Also, when you reply to their original email, do just that---reply with the email they sent to you. There may be a Case Number or ID number within the email they sent you, and it will make it easier for them to identify you.

You can set up branch to branch VPN tunnels with a Cisco PIX firewall. If cost is an issue, have a look at IPCop, an open source firewall %26amp; VPN package that you install on a spare computer with 2 network cards. http://www.ipcop.org
If you need "road warrior" VPN support, go with the Cisco PIX. IPCop's road warrior support sucks at present though that should be fixed in the next year or so. That said, if road warriors only need to connect to the main branch, you can use a PIX there and set up IPCop at the branch locations as it will do VPNs to Cisco PIX firewalls; it's a minor pig to set up but once you have it running you can forget about it.
If the only connectivity that users need from the remote offices is for e-mail, have a look at Outlook Web Access. There are some limitations but it's compatible with 99.99% of all e-mail messages.

Every time I click on mail on iphone although it recognizes my email server it doesn't show the inbox contents of outlook. I have gone into the Tools%26gt;Email Accounts%26gt; Email %26gt;Change but there already is a username and password entered there. Unless if it is refering to another password (which I havn't found) I don't know how to set it up.
How do I setup outlook email on iphone?
On the iPhone go to settings from the home screen,then "mail,contacts,calendar" and then select the account that you want to set the password for. Tap on the "Password" field, enter your pass and you should be good to go.

does anyone know how to use or setup outlook express with free yahoo email.have already tryed setting up express the way yahoo says,pop3,smtp,incomming,out etc. dosen`t work.acts like wrong
setup problem.I`m thinking maby can`t use a mail program with the
free yahoo email account because have to log on through yahoo website.reason being I`m trying schedule emails a latter time but can`t with free yahoo email site. if any ideas, would be appreciated

Yahoo's free accounts cannot be accessed through POP3. Only the Mail Plus accounts (Yahoo's premium accounts with an annual fee) can be accessed this way.

Select Tools -%26gt; Email accounts from the main menu
Select Add a new email account and click o颅n Next
Select POP3 as the Server Type. Click Next
Enter your username and full Yahoo! email address under 'User Information'
Enter your Yahoo! Login id and password under 'Logon Information'
Enter '127.0.0.1' as your Incoming mail server
Enter '127.0.0.1' as the Outgoing mail server
Click o颅n the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab
Increase the Server Timeout to 'Long' (5 minutes)
Select the Outgoing Server tab
Enable "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". Select "Log o颅n using" and enter your Yahoo Mail address as the username and your Yahoo Mail password as the password.
Click Ok to close the More Settings dialog
Click Next and then Finish

Check "Remember Password"

Select your new 127.0.0.1 account and click o颅n "Properties"
Select the Advanced tab
Increase the Server Timeout to 'Long' (5 minutes)
Click OK to close the Properties dialog

Reply:IMHO Yahoo has made a huge error in closing off pop3 access to send and receive email, whilst not making it possible for people around the world to sign up and pay a small reasonable fee to continue !
Many users do not have broadband access and are dependant upon pop3 and smtp to access email and keep in touch...
