I cannot setup yahoo as my default email setting, keeps going to microsoft outlook express?

After setting up my wireless connection, yahoo is my main email connection. If I am on a different site and try to send an email with an email address given, I move the cursor and click on the address only to be put into microsoft outlook express and cannot change the setting under my programs..
