Here are the POP settings for yahoo mail:
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (use authentication, optionally use port 587)
Account Name/Login Name: your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")
Email Address: your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., user@yahoo.com)
Password: your Yahoo! Mail password
This will only work if you are a paying Yahoo subscriber. if you have a typical FREE yahoo email address, POP access is not available.
How do i setup my other email to receive my yahoo emails?
Looks like everyone bum-rushed this one. So yeah, just make sure you are subscribed to Yahoo! Mail Plus first. If not, you will NOT be able to POP your mail.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Mail Plus is only available to U.S. customers with a .com account. If you are from outside the U.S. but have a .com account, you can still use it as long as your preferred content setting in "My Account" shows "Yahoo! U.S." (or "United States - English" or "English - U.S." depending on what you currently have configured for your language setting).
Reply:1. Sign up for a Yahoo! Mail Plus account at:
http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/
2. Follow the detailed instructions for setting up POP access with Outlook Express on this help page:
http://help.yahoo.com/mail/pop/pop-15.ht...
Reply:If you don't pay for yahoo mail and just have the free version, it won't work anywhere. believe me, I've tried. you can go to Microsoft.com and look up outlook on there and they'll give you step by step directions on how to have mail received on their data base from other sources.
Reply:Easy! Sign into your yahoo email account
Click on "Options" (top right hand corner)
Then click on " POP Access and Forwarding"
Check the "Forwarding" Box and enter your other email address
Now all your yahoo emails will be automaticaly forwared to your other email address.
